15/11/24 - School Closed

We regret to inform you that Gloucester Academy will be closed tomorrow, Friday 15th November 2024, due to an unforeseen disruption to our water supply. Unfortunately, this issue prevents us from meeting the necessary health and safety requirements for the school to remain open.

Our team is working closely with the relevant authorities to resolve the matter as swiftly as possible. We expect to be open on Monday 18th November 2024.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience for families, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

We will be in touch later this evening with online learning resources for your child to complete to ensure they continue their learning with minimal disruption.

Dear GA families

Thank you for your support in our decision to close the school on Friday 15th November 2024. This is due to an issue with the water control pump resulting in no water in the school and being unable to open safely.

This letter outlines the online learning that your child is expected to complete whilst they are unable to come to school. These lessons will help ensure that your child does not miss out on valuable learning as they climb their mountain to the best universities and professions. Students should complete this work in their homework books and will be asked to show it to their tutor on their return. There will be some great rewards given out for those who have completed the work and gone above and beyond in their learning.

Please be aware that the online links are split into year groups, have 5 lessons per day and are split into higher and foundation (for some subjects) where applicable. Please ensure your child selects the correct year group and tier.
