Gloucester Academy is thrilled to announce that the 2024 GCSE results have reached new heights, marking a historic achievement for our students and staff. This year, we have seen more of our students than ever before surpass expectations, demonstrating the true spirit of ambition, excellence, and pride that our school community holds dear.

Their outstanding results are a reflection of the hard work and dedication that both they and our exceptional teaching staff have invested. These achievements are not merely numbers; they represent the culmination of years of effort, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of greatness.

Headteacher Mrs P Lewis has  expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of this year’s cohort: 

"What another exceptional year we have had  at Gloucester Academy.  We are excited  to announce that yet again,  our students have achieved exceptional results and made outstanding progress giving the Academy record results, higher results than ever achieved before by the Academy. The hard work from students and staff, along with the support from their families has made yet another momentous shift in achievement possible. We are thrilled that yet again  all of our students will be able to follow their dreams into local Sixth forms, colleges and apprenticeships and wish the very best to all of them as they pursue their next steps.I am privileged to have walked with these students and proud to stand with them at the top as we celebrate their success. Gloucester Academy is maintaining its  rapid improvement towards being the best school in the country.” 

This year’s GCSE results not only reflect the success of our students but also highlight Gloucester Academy’s commitment to fostering an environment where ambition is nurtured, excellence is expected, and pride is instilled in every learner. We are confident that our students will carry this spirit with them as they move on to the next stages of their educational and professional journeys knowing that they will always be part of the Gloucester Academy family. 

As we celebrate these remarkable achievements, we also look ahead with renewed ambition and determination to continue climbing new heights of excellence. At Gloucester Academy, the pursuit of greatness is an ongoing journey, and we remain committed to providing the best possible education to our students, equipping them with the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.

Amariyah achieved 7 grade 9s a grade 8, and a Distinction star showing that hard work, commitment and perseverance pays off.  Amariyah  is off to study A Level History, Spanish and Psychology at Ribston Hall.
Artiqah has secured a full scholarship at Cheltenham Ladies College after achieving 3 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 2 Distinction stars. She will be studying English Literature, Spanish, History and Chemistry.
Hanna achieved 6  Grade 9s and 2 distinction stars. She has been a role model for other students and young people at GA and the local community. Hanna is going to study A levels at Hartpury.
Other exceptional achievements were achieved by Rayyann Noor going on to study at St Peters, Alan Zheng achieving 4 Grade 9s going to Sir Thomas Rich’s, Grace Jordan  and Isla Reid pursuing A levels at Ribston, Maddie James A levels at Holmleigh Park and Haroon Jaffer studying Agriculture at Hartpury.
